Tamgaly Tas (Kazakhstan)

In 170 kms from Almaty, in natural boundary Tamgaly Tas (the Stones marked patrimonial it is familiar) the unique sanctuary with petroglyphs, representing the true ancient art gallery. It reflects several historical periods. It is revealed more than 4000 figures belonging by an epoch of bronze, early nomads and to the Turkic period.

On low slate outputs on both sides of gorge, on equal vertical planes metal images cult deities, goats, deers — pets are put: camels, horses, bulls, dogs; stages of hunting, rituals, sacrifices, figures of women, stages of a falconry and many other things. Near to gorge there are burial grounds of an epoch of bronze, and early nomads, and also their settlement. The gallery of petroglyphs of Tamgaly is treasure of world value and is under protection of fund of UNESCO.
