Turgen waterfalls (Kazakhstan)

There is a beautiful place in national park Ile-Alatau — Turgen Canyon. The destination from Almaty to the canyon is 90 kilometers. The canyon goes deep into the mountains up to huge plateau Assy (2560 m). In ancient times caravans were going through this canyon to the east — China and India. Turgen Canyon is famous for its waterfalls and relic Chin-Turgen fir greens, growing in permafrost.
